Meeting Minutes

FSNA public meetings are held quarterly during the year, being third Wednesdays of February, May, September, and November. Sessions start 7:00 pm in the library of John Strange Elementary School, which is located at the corner of 62nd and Olney streets. Enter the west main entrance of the building facing Olney Street.

By tradition, there is an Independence Day Parade and Pitch-In event on the last Saturday before the 4th of July. This is lead by an IFD Fire Engine. The Board may hold executive sessions other than at quarterly meetings, if necessary to promote association activities. At the public meeting in May, paid members elect one-half of the Board of Directors, with the other half elected the following year to maintain continuity. The Directors elect Association Officers in May for an annual term.

All public meeting are open to participation by anyone, with only dues-paying members having voting rights. There are usually one or more speakers on a topic of local interest at each meeting. These sessions are further opportunities to meet, hear their reports, and ask questions of City-County Councillors, Mayor's Neighborhood Liaison, and even State Representatives on occasion.
