Jim is a new member of the FSNA in this last year, but has lived in the neighborhood for the last 16 years with his family. We chose the neighborhood because we wanted to live in a family-oriented area that would be close to school, church and friends. We recognize that having good neighbors includes being a good neighbor. FSNA allows us to support our local community.
Sherry joined the FSNA board in 2006 and served two terms as president. She and her husband Andy and daughter Katy have lived in the Fairfields-Sylvan neighborhood since 1997. They especially enjoy the convenience of living so close all the surrounding amenities. Sherry has served as the executive director for the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority for the state of Indiana for the last seven years. She has spent her entire career working in the community redevelopment industry.
Ken is an old geezer who can't remember when he joined the Board - 2000 or so? He's been Secretary for what - five years? Ken has lived in Fairfields-Sylvan for the last 24+ years, since he and his wife Betsy moved to Indy from Evansville. He was an independent oil producer for 20 years, and after that he became a computer technician, installing and running computer networks for the restaurant industry. He and Betsy serve as Inspector and Judge for a polling place each time there's an election. He also does volunteer work for St Peters UCC church in Carmel, and for the Kettle Moraine Land Trust in southeast Wisconsin.
My husband and I grew up in this area attending Eastwood Jr HS and North Central. We have lived in our FSNA area home since 1998. We have a strong commitment to keeping the neighborhood as it was originally designed….nice, single family homes with beautiful, large lots.
Terry has been a long standing board member and is the current FSNA Crime Watch coordinator. Terry and his wife, Susan, grew up in the immediate area attending Eastwood and North Central HS. Terry and Susan have lived in the neighborhood for over 12 years. Terry and Susan enjoy the neighborhood country lifestyle with a city address! We have a strong commitment to keeping the FSNA neighborhood a great place to live and raise a family!
Bryan and his family moved into the neighborhood in 2016 and he has been a director since 2017. His family chose Fairfieds-Sylvan because of its wonderful schools, mature trees, and large lots. Before moving to Indianapolis, he lived in Austin, TX where he served on the steering committee of his neighborhood association for over 10 years.
